The Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) has assured the public of safety and security ahead of the 22st and 23rd of April 2025, vowing to maintain law and order across the country.
In a statement yesterday, police authorities confirmed they have deployed adequate officers nationwide to protect citizens and businesses. The security operation covers Central Business Districts, residential areas, industrial zones, and other public spaces to ensure uninterrupted socio-economic activities.
Police spokesperson Commissioner Paul Nyathi warned that officers will arrest anyone attempting to disrupt traffic flow or restrict public movement.
Authorities cautioned against social media abuse, urging citizens to ignore posts designed to spread alarm or incite chaos.
With the Zimbabwe International Trade Fair underway, police guaranteed protection for all local and international exhibitors attending the event in Bulawayo.
The ZRP emphasized its commitment to executing its constitutional mandate impartially, promising severe consequences for violence instigators.
Members of the public were encouraged to report threats, intimidation, or incitement to violence through official police channels.
