President Mnangagwa is expected to launch the Bubi- Lupane irrigation scheme in Matabeleland North province, which was identified as a pilot project for an integrated business model to be followed across the country.
Lands, Agriculture, Fisheries, Water, and Rural Resettlement Minister Dr Anxious Masuka made the remarks in Harare on Wednesday when he announced additional board members for ARDA and Agricultural Finance Corporation leasing company (AFC).
The project is set to establish at least 200 hectares per district and help improve livelihoods for rural communities.
The additional board members are Paidamoyo Matsaira and Mazvita Chidawu for ARDA.
Harrison Bhasikoro, Shingirayi Gundu, Ntokozo Mkandla and Mazvita Shumba for the AFC leasing company.
