Lands, Agriculture, Fisheries, Water and Rural Development Minister Dr. Anxious Masuka says over 40 percent of land for the installation of a pipeline to transport water from Lake Gwayi-Shangani to Bulawayo has been cleared. 

Speaking to the media after touring the dam site recentlyy, the Minister said lake Gwayi-Shangani construction is now at 70 percent complete.

The construction of Lake Gwayi-Shangani is expected to solve water challenges in Bulawayo and the entire Matabeleland region.
