President Emmerson Mnangagwa has assured citizens that government will support individuals with invention and innovative ideas, that contribute towards nation-building.

In his weekly column in the Sunday Mail and Sunday News, the President stated that he has made a commitment to make sure that no Zimbabwean with ideas, keen to invent and innovate will go without funding.

President Mnangagwa added that government has put in place institutional systems, to assist and motivate individuals to ensure their ideas become reality.

The President's remarks come at a time institutions of higher and tertiary education are being transformed to promote innovation and engineering skills, as well as think tanks to challenges facing Zimbabwe.

On Friday the President launched a tech-novation center at the National University of Science and Technology in Bulawayo set to bring to life technological ideas.
