Information, Publicity and Broadcasting Services Minister Monica Mutsvangwa has challenged the media to raise
awareness on breast cancer. Addressing the practitioners at a Media Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign in Harare today (on Wednesday) Minister Mutsvangwa urged journalists to undergo regular screening.
Both male and female journalist turned out in their numbers for the awareness campaign held in Harare.
“Clinical and self-breast examination among other screening methods helps in achieving early diagnosis.
“Let us rise together through spreading the message of healthy and varied diet, maintaining weight, exercising and eating whole foods,” she said.
More so, Deputy Minister of Information, Publicity and Broadcasting Services, Kindness Paradza together with Permanent Secretary Nick Magwana, were also screened.
The Premier Health Lifestyle PSMAS was conducting the tests for breast cancer, glucose, blood pressure and Body Mass Index (BMI).
