The national carrier, Air Zimbabwe has scored a first by joining the league of Saudi Arabian and American airlines, following its launch today, of a braille inflight safety card that comes in Shona, English and isiNdebele, in addition to a magazine to cater for the visually impaired.
The card contains detailed instructions on seat belt operation, location of emergency exits, and life jackets and other essential safety information.
In an interview with Zimpapers Radio News Air Zimbabwe Vice Board chairperson Ruth Hungwe -Rukarwa said the development is in line with the nation`s mantra of leaving no one and no place behind.
Meanwhile, Braille for Africa director Enoch Hwema described the card as a positive for the visually impaired community
