President Emmerson Mnangagwa says the smooth transfer of power in Kenya is a positive development, and an example of continued cooperation in leadership which is needed in Africa.

Speaking to the media after the inauguration of new Kenya leader, William Ruto yesterday, President Mnangagwa said the continuity of leadership in Nairobi will also see various cooperation and investment agreements recently signed between his Government and that of outgoing President, Uhuru Kenyatta being implemented.

Early this year, the two countries signed memoranda of understandings to boost political and diplomatic ties, which will see cooperation on the fields of tourism wildlife and conservation, civil air-craft accidents, promotion of women and youth empowerment, as well as deepen relations in sport and recreation.
