A group of locals under the banner, Progressive and Patriotic Citizens of Zimbabwe (PAPCOZ) says some companies benefiting from the Forex Auction System are charging goods using the parallel market rate, thereby making basic commodities costly.

Addressing the media in Harare recently, PAPCOZ treasurer Agnes Chikondo warned unscrupulous businesses who are fueling unjustified price increases of basic commodities that their days are numbered.

Cost of goods and services have shot up in the past few months with some sections now advocating for Government to introduce price controls.
