Auditor General Mildred Chiri says her department will now move to re-produce accounting reports for all public institutions in vernacular starting with Shona and Ndebele as well as use simple graphic forms.
The move is meant to ensure the documents which seek to promote transparency in the use of public funds, can be easily interpreted by citizens.
Ms Chiri made the announcement on Tuesday during a media engagement workshop in Nyanga, Manicaland province.
The Auditor General has been publishing annual reports on Government operations and spending, with notable cases of inappropriate use of public funds within some ministries, departments and state entities.
Other institutions have also come under fire for failing to use resources allocated to them to improve the welfare of the people.
