Cabinet has directed the closure of all tertiary institutions to pave way for 2022 National Population and Housing census set to begin next week Thursday . 

This was said by Information Communication Technology, Postal and Courier Services Minister Dr Jenfan Muswere, who was standing in for the Information, Publicity and Broadcasting Services Minister Monica Mutsvangwa during a post Cabinet media briefing in Harare on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Minister Muswere said preparations for this year’s Independence Day Celebrations which will be held under the theme “Zim at 42, leaving no one and no place behind” are at an advanced stage.

This years’ Independence is historic as it will be held in the city of Bulawayo for the first time.
