Authorities say the US$300 million Beitbridge modernization project is progressing well, contributing to massive infrastructure development that is set to stimulate economic activities in the border town.
In an interview with Star FM News on the sidelines of a tour of the project works, Zimborders Consortium General Manager, Nqobile Ncube said apart from construction of the superstructure, there are ancillary services that come with the project.
Government and the Zimborders Consortium are carrying out the project on a 17 and half year built operate and transfer concession. The venture has also seen the construction of a plant and animal quarantine centre, road rehabilitation and a sewer oxidation dam.
