The Tobacco Industry and Marketing Board (T.I.M.B) is lobbying for the enactment of a statutory instrument aimed at curbing side marketing of tobacco during the forthcoming selling season set to commence at the end of this month.

In his speech during a TIMB media interface in Harare recently, head of inspectorate department Saviour Muvirimi said the legal instrument will assist the board in eradicating the vice.

Meanwhile, Agricultural Industry Development Support Institute for Southern Africa executive director Jeffrey Takawira and Knowledge Transfer Africa chief executive officer Charles Dhewa said the tobacco selling season positively contributes towards improved consumer purchasing power.<PSI_END_OBJECT>
