President Emmerson Mnangagwa has arrived in the United Arab Emirates, where he will officiate at Zimbabwe’s National Day, at the ongoing Expo 2020 Dubai.
President Mnangagwa is expected to use the platform to further entrench government policy of engagement and re-engagement, through different events starting this afternoon.
The President is accompanied by Foreign Affairs and International Trade Minister Ambassador Frederick Shava, Finance and Economic Development Minister Mthuli Ncube, Home Affairs and Cultural Heritage Minister Kazembe Kazembe, Lands, Agriculture, Fisheries, Water and Rural Development Minister Anxious Masuka, Deputy Chief Secretary in the Office of the President and Cabinet George Charamba and other senior government officials.
The Zimbabwe National Day marks the end of the country's participation at the global business event, which was delayed for two years due to the covid-19 pandemic.
The six-month-long expo brought over 190 countries together and provided Zimbabwe an opportunity to lure investors, in line with government's engagement and re-engagement agenda.
