AfDB launches $USD10,5 million projects

The African Development Bank (AfDB) has extended a $USD10.5 million facility towards local electricity generation, promoting public sector accountability and empowering women and youths in agriculture as well as mining. 

Launching the facility virtually today AfDB country manager Moono Mupotola said the money will be divided equally into the three sectors with each getting an allocation of $USD3.5 million over a period ranging from 30 to 48 months. 

The funds are expected to complement ongoing Government programmes to develop the economy.
