The National Social Security Authority (NSSA) says it is preparing recommendations to Government for a Social Security Scheme targeting informal sector traders.
In an interview on the sidelines of a Tripartite stakeholders meeting in Bindura on Sunday, NSSA’s director of Social Security, Shepherd Muperi said the Authority is expanding its focus to the informal sector, which forms the bulk of Zimbabwe's work force that has also been affected by Covid-19.
The proposed scheme is in line with vision 2030, and the National Development Strategy 1, and is part of NSSA’s contribution to a prosperous upper-middle-income economy by 2030.
