The Tobacco Industry Marketing Board (TIMB) says the 2022 marketing season opens at the end of March.

TIMB Public Affairs Officer Chelesani Moyo told Star FM News that this years' auction tobacco marketing season will start on the 30th of March with contract floors open on the the 31st of the same month. 

The golden leaf is one of the country's major cash crop and top foreign currency earner.
