Trade authorities say the Expo 2020 Dubai which began at the end of 2020 has seen Zimbabwe managing to push exports of fresh produce worth about 4 million united states dollars to the Emirates.

In an interview with Star FM News ahead of the Zimbabwe Dubai Business Forum this Thursday, Zimtrade chief executive officer Allan Majuru said lucrative deals have also been secured for the local leather sector.

He added that the Expo is proving to be an ideal place for Zimbabwe to scout business opportunities.

Mr Majuru said Zimbabwe has been producing various goods and services without good international markets and it is time to first secure places to sell what the country can offer.

Government officials parastatal and private business leaders are expected to attend the Zimbabwe Dubai Business forum.

The expo which began in September last year ends in March.
