The Meteorological Services Department (MSD) says Tropical Cyclone Ana is expected to hit western parts of the Zambezi Valley today while causing heavy rains in the area.

In an interview with Star FM News MSD Head of Forecasting James Ngoma said this development is high likely to trigger flash floods and river flooding .

Meanwhile, Ngoma urged people to exercise caution and avoid crossing flooded rivers, as the department continues to monitor the weather patterns.
