Harare Provincial Affairs and Devolution Minister Oliver Chidawu says the re-opening of the Mupedzanhamo flea market in Mbare, will cater for the huge demand for legal trading areas by the informal sector.
Addressing the media, Minister Chidawu said the city aims to provide traders with orderly and convenient facilities close to customers.
The market, famous for vendors selling bales of second hand clothes, commonly referred to as 'mabhero', closed at the height of Covid-19 pandemic.
Meanwhile, Minister Chidawu added that Government will not tolerate barons who are in the habit of extorting money from desperate traders.
