President Emmerson Mnangagwa, who is also Midlands State University (MSU) Chancellor, has conferred various degrees to over 6 500 graduands, at the institution's 22nd graduation ceremony, in Gweru this Friday.
Due to Covid-19 restrictions, only 200 students were capped while the majority graduated virtually.
The President will also officially open the University's National Language Institute, the MSU Pharmaceutical and Food processing plant, and the National Pathology Research and Diagnostic centre.
Addressing delegates at the graduation ceremony, MSU Vice-Chancellor Professor Victor Muzvidziwa, said the Pathology Research and Diagnostic centre will boost the country's clinical laboratory services, in line with the national industrialisation drive.
ln 2020, The President commissioned MSU’s Industrial Park which produces Covid-19 personal protective equipment among other products.
