President Emmerson Mnangagwa has described the late veteran and national hero Ambassador Simon Khaya Moyo, as a man driven by honesty and hard work.

Addressing mourners at the burial of Ambassador Khaya Moyo, at the National Heroes Acre today, President Mnangagwa said, the former Zanu-PF spokesperson was a patriot, without a sense of self-entitlement, in executing duties in both Government and the Ruling Party.

Meanwhile, Government has afforded national hero Ambassador Khaya Moyo, a befitting send off, by opening burial proceedings to more people, a first, in over one and a half years, since the country introduced various measures to minimise the spread of covid 19.

Ambassador Khaya Moyo who was a former cabinet minister, succumbed to cancer last week, at Mater Dei hospital in Bulawayo, aged 76.
