Fourteen children were this morning injured when a classroom block curved in at Globe and Phoenix Primary school in Kwekwe, Midlands province.

Kwekwe Central Legislator Judith Tobaiwa confirmed the incident which she attributed to a result of underground tunnels being dug by illegal miners.

She said stakeholders have since recommended closure of the school.

Last year the school head Issac Pfupajena proposed that the school be relocated due to the danger it was posing to learners.
