Zimbabwe Parks and Wildlife Management Authority [Zimparks] says it is in the process of lobbying relevant authorities for the country to introduce a relief fund for victims of wildlife conflict.
In an interview with Zimpapers Radio News recently Zimparks planning officer Courage Mutema said the fund is a reaction to an increase in human-wildlife conflicts which are claiming more lives and leaving several others injured.
The country has witnessed an increase in wild animal population resulting in the game encroaching into human settlements.
