Health authorities in Mutare have intensified preparations to halt the spread of cholera through the provision of adequate water and aqua tablets to residents in high-density areas with no clean potable water and ablution facilities.
In an interview with Zimpapers Radio News, City of Mutare environmental health officer Eunice Muyambuki said, all medical sundries to deal with cholera in city clinics have been secured.
A cholera case was reported in the city recently which comes after neighboring countries including Mozambique, South Africa, Zambia, and Malawi are witnessing cases of the waterborne disease.
