The Confederation of Zimbabwe Industries, CZI has implored businesses and subsequent funding partners to embrace the use of alternative sources of power to run their businesses in order to ease pressure on the national grid while production continues.
CZI president Kurai Macheza made the call during the unveiling of a 90 kilovolt-amps solar plant worth 250 000 US dollars funded by the Dutch Embassy to the Pulse Group pharmaceuticals in Harare recently.
Speaking at the same event, Deputy Dutch Ambassador Eva Van Woersem said the embassy is thrilled to invest in sustainability and resilience of businesses in Zimbabwe.
Meanwhile the Pulse Group Pharmaceuticals chief executive officer Mucha Mkanganwi said the solar plant will go a long way in strengthening their operations in the manufacturing of drugs.
