The Bulawayo City Council in conjunction with the Minister of State for Provincial Affairs and Devolution, and the Ministry of Environment, Climate, Tourism, and Hospitality Industry have embarked on a two-day clean-up exercise in the city's central business district which is battling uncollected garbage and litter.

Speaking at the launch of the program, Minister of State for Bulawayo Metropolitan Provincial Affairs Judith Ncube represented by director Economic Affairs and Investment in her office, Simon Saunyama urged businesses and organisations in the city to maintain cleanliness.
