USD 3,7 million grant for Zim Covid19 response-African Development Bank

The Board of Directors of the African Development Bank (AfDB) has approved a $ USD 3.7 million grant to Zimbabwe to finance the Covid-19 response project which is expected to benefit over 680 000 people.
AfDB country manager Mr. Damoni Kitabire said the intervention seeks to address the enormous Covid-19-related challenges facing the country, particularly in urban and peri-urban areas.
The contribution is also expected to strengthen the resilience of the country’s health system while protecting the livelihoods of the vulnerable.
