Former minister Goche arrested over stock theft

Former Cabinet Minister Nicholas Goche

Former Cabinet Minister, Nicholas Goche has been arrested on allegations of stealing 40 cattle.

Zimbabwe Republic Police National Spokesperson Assistant Commissioner Paul Nyathi confirmed the arrest saying that the accused minister was arrested.

“We confirm that the former Minister of State Security Nicholas Goche has been arrested by the police in connection with stock theft charges.

“It is alleged that he sold forty cattle to a Mr Mupanedengu in 2018. He released 22 of the cattle and remained with 18 which could not be moved because of restrictions by the Veterinary Services. He later sold these cattle which have all been paid for.

“The complainant made a report to the police yesterday leading to the former minister’s arrest.”

Nicholas Tasunungurwa Goche was the Minister of Public Service, Labour and Social Welfare and also Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Development in the old dispensation.
