National Police Spokesperson Assistant Commissioner Paul Nyathi says the ZRP will increase police presence in various suburbs to fight crime which has been exacerbated by the ongoing electricity load shedding.
In an interview with Star FM News, Assistant Commissioner Nyathi said some criminals are taking advantage of the power cuts, to break into homes while some members of the public are being attacked at night.
Zimbabwe Electricity Supply Authority (ZESA) recently announced that the power utility is now on stage 2 load shedding which has seen most households going for 18 hours without electricity.
