The Zimbabwe Council for Higher Education (ZIMCHE) is expected to complete the standardisation of programmes offered by the country's institutions of higher learning by February next year.
Speaking on the programme The Ministers' Desk on Star FM on Monday night, Higher and Tertiary Education, Science and Technology Development Minister Professor Amon Murwira said the standardisation exercise is in line with the Zimbabwe national qualifications framework that also seeks to ensure that tertiary education matches international standards.
Meanwhile Professor Murwira said experts from the country's institutions of higher learning are carrying out studies that will inform cabinet on development projects to be carried out in cyclone Idai affected areas, including assessing places suitable for human settlements and developing early warning systems to reduce disaster risk and vulnerability.
