Visiting South African Deputy Minister of Social Development Hendrietta Bogopane-Zulu says her bilateral visit aims to assess the economic, social and political development of persons with disabilities as well as to share best practices on policy implementation in the SADC region.

Addressing delegates at a bilateral meeting with the host Ministry of Labour and Social Welfare in Harare on Monday, Mrs Bogopane-Zulu said they will be meeting people with disabilities in Zimbabwe to take note of their livelihoods and assist government on social development implementation.

Meanwhile, Labour and Social Welfare Minister Mrs Petronella Kagonye says the bilateral meeting is significant and further cements the ties that exist between South Africa and Zimbabwe.

The four day visit by Mrs Bogopane-Zulu is centered on social cooperation and development of people with disabilities.
