People with disabilities have commended Finance and Economic Development Minister Professor Mthuli Ncube's 2019 budget for removing duty on imported assistive devices.
Chairperson of the National Disability Dialogue which brings together organisations for people with disabilities and government representatives, Mr Rowdy Mabhaudi, told Star FM News that the removal of duty on all assistive devices for the disabled is something that they have been advocating for since 1980.
He expressed gratitude to the government and Professor Ncube for giving people with disabilities a listening ear.
