The death toll from the Murehwa accident has risen to 14.
The accident occurred when two commuter omnibuses collided head on at the 49-kilometre peg along the Harare-Nyamapanda highway.
Police say the accident occurred when one of the commuter omnibuses burst a tyre and encroached onto the lane of the other driving in the opposite direction.
Meanwhile the Traffic Safety Council of Zimbabwe [TSCZ] has launched its festive season road safety campaign urging passengers to keep check on drivers so that they can be responsible on the road.
