Members of public urged to take part in the Education Bill hearings

Civil Society Organisations under 'The Every Child in School campaign' have called on members of the public to take advantage of the ongoing public hearings on the Education Bill being conducted across the country to express their views before it is passed into law.
In an interview with Star FM News, director of Tag a Life campiagn, Ms Nyari Mashayamombe who is leading the campaign, said they have been pushing government to fund basic education as enshrined in the constitution adding that more than 30% of children are out of school because they cannot afford to pay school fees.
Public hearings on the Education Bill commenced on the 1st of this month and will end on the 17th in all the country's provinces.
