Labour and Social Welfare Ministry principal director Simon Masanga has criticised some school development associations which send children home for failing to pay school fees.
In an interview with Star FM News on the sidelines of the pre-commemorations of the day of the African Child in Harare Tuesday Mr Masanga said the BEAM programme has managed to pay examination fees for Ordinary and Advanced level students for this year.
Meanwhile, Harare City Junior Councillors gave their thoughts on the challenges facing school children across the country.
Zimbabwe National Council for the Welfare of Children in conjunction with other stakeholders commemorated the day of the African Child which falls on the 16th of this month through an engagement of the Harare City Junior Councillors and the Labour and Social Welfare Ministry.
