Labour and Social Welfare Ministry castigated over failure to intervene in Hwange Colliery strike

The Zimbabwe Congress of Trade Unions (ZCTU) has castigated the Ministry of Labour and Social Welfare , for failing to intervene in resolving a salary dispute at Hwange Colliery Company which has seen wives of the workers spending more than two weeks camping at the company premises.

ZCTU Secretary General Mr Japhet Moyo, told Star FM News that the Ministry has dismissed the dispute as a community grievance. 

He added that the workers who have not been  paid for the past five years, are being denied their right, to join any trade union to represent them.
