Insurance and Pensions Commission (IPEC) commissioner Mr Tendai Karonga has resigned.
IPEC public relations manager Mr Lloyd Gumbo says the resignation of Mr  Karonga as IPEC commissioner is due to personal reasons.
Mr Karonga tendered in his resignation last Wednesday.
He took over office from Mrs Marnet Mpofu who left the commission following the expiry of her contract in January last year.
There were speculations that he left IPEC because he clashed with his board on how the insurance industry should be governed and regulated.
