Harare Mayor Councillor Bernard Manyenyeni says interviews to fill the position of Town Clerk will be held on Thursday.
In an interview with Star FM News Mayor Manyenyeni called on local government to speed up the process of appointing the Town Clerk after candidate selection.
The City of Harare seeks to replace former Town Clerk Tendai Mahachi, who left council in 2014.
Since then the post has been held in an acting capacity by Josephine Ncube before she was suspended for disciplinary issues, involving payments of salaries and allowances to top council executives.
