Immigration department puts in place measures to handle business at Beitbridge border post

The immigration department says it has put in place measures to handle business at the Beitbridge border post which include creating extra spaces for clearing people and recalling immigration agents on leave  amid indications that the number of travellers  passing through the post has  doubled  in the past 5 days ahead of the festive season.
Assistant regional immigration officer in charge of Beitbridge Mr Nqobile Ncube says travellers passing through Beitbridge had risen to 31 000 from a normal average of 14 000 people a day.
