Gweru residents call on government to urgently distribute water treatment tablets

By Locadia Mavhudzi
Gweru residents have called on government to urgently distribute water treatment tablets following suspected typhoid cases, which have so far claimed lives.
The call comes amid a declaration by the Minister of Health and Child Care, Dr David Parirenyatwa , that all water in Gweru is not safe for drinking.
Gweru residents rely on tap and borehole water as they have no safe alternative since the municipality is failing to constantly supply all suburbs with running water.
