GWERU COUNCIL TO EMPLOY 180 WORKERS

Gweru City Council is set to employ 180 general workers to assist in the rehabilitation work in various departments such as roads, water and sewer reticulation.
The announcement was made by Gweru Town Clerk Mrs Elizabeth Gwatipedza during a full council meeting recently.
She said they have applied to the Ministry of Local Government, Public Works and National Housing seeking the green light to employ 180 general hand workers to beef up staff as there is an urgent need to attend to rehabilitation programmes.
Mrs. Gwatipedza also notified the full council board that they have so far employed 20 sweepers to clean the Central Business District during weekends and public holidays.
