Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe Governor Dr John Mangudya, says all foreign truckers plying Zimbabwean routes and foreign traders buying goods in the country, will pay for their fuel and goods in foreign currency with immediate effect.
He was presenting the monetary policy statement in Harare on Monday.
Meanwhile RBZ has assigned with immediate effect all banks to start separate foreign accounts into two categories which are nostro foreign currency accounts and real time gross settlement (RTGS) foreign currency accounts.
Speaking during the presentation of the monetary policy statement RBZ governor Dr John Mangudya said this policy is expected to encourage exports, diaspora remittances and the banking of the foreign currency.
