A visiting Chinese delegation that recently signed a 1,2 billion dollar Memorandum of Understanding with the government of Zimbabwe early this month, met with Tourism and Hospitality Industry Minister, Prisca Mupfumira and Zimbabwe Tourism Authority Chief Executive Oofficer, Dr. Karikoga Kaseke in Harare this morning. The closed door meeting was aimed at mapping the way forward towards fulfilling obligations of the M.O.U. The chinese delegation also met with President Constantino Chiwenga this afternoon. In an interview with journalists on the sidelines of the meeting, Head of the Chinese delegation from Touch International Holdings, Mr Shi Huazhong said they also intend to explore other investment opportunities in trade, commerce and agriculture.
Meanwhile, Dr. Kaseke said such investments will go a long way in proving that Zimbabwe is indeed open for business.
