Aspiring candidates for the 2018 harmonised elections are filing their papers with the nomination courts across the country.
Presidential candidates who have successfully filed their nomination papers at the high court so far are: President Emmerson Mnangagwa (Zanu PF) , Noah Manyika (Build Zimbabwe Alliance) , Nelson Chamisa (MDC Alliance) , Violet Mariyacha (United Democratic Movement) and Dr Joice Mujuru (People's Rainbow Coalition) .
Advocate Chamisa filed his papers under the name MDC Alliance, ceding the MDC-T name to Dr Thokozani Khupe.
MDC Alliance National Assembly candidate for Mutare Central Innocent Gonese said the process has been slow but he has submitted his papers.
Zanu-PF National Assembly candidate for Makokoba Constituency Retired Colonel Tshinga Dube has expressed concern at the slow process at the nomination court in Bulawayo, fearing proceedings might spill deep into the night.
Candidates have up to 4pm to submit their papers.
Meanwhile, some candidates who lost in their party's primaries, have submitted their papers to run as independent candidates.
