The Traffic Safety Council of Zimbabwe (TSCZ), has noted with concern the high number of accidents that characterised 2017, which resulted in the number of deaths rising by 7 percent compared to 2016.

Statistics released by the council showed that Harare Metropolitan Province , had the highest number of accidents, and December was the month that had most accidents nationwide.

In an interview with Star FM News, TSCZ Spokesperson Mr Tatenda Chinoda, said drivers are being negligent on the roads, probably due to the fraudulent ways some drivers are acquiring their licenses.
